I have always thought McLaime was a closet democrat and had no intention of trying to win in '08. Then he made the mistake of naming Sarah Palin as his VP which is the only reason many many of his voters voted for him. Like me for one. He could have won with just a bit of an effort on his and his campaign staff, but that is not what he was being paid to do. Scumbag.
