Good afternoon everyone! What a day. Did the sunrise service this morning, never have talked in front of that many people. Must have been 100 people there, largest crowd our little American Legion post has ever had for the Easter service. Breakfast for everyone, bloody Mary's for those who wanted them, all and all a great day today. I hope all of my friends here had as good a day.
You would have had one more if I had known about the Bloody Marys. It was beautiful here and I spent the whole day working on my garden.
You would have been welcome, we don't care if you are veteran or not, everyone is welcome. Kind of scared the crap out of me though, I have never stood up and talked in front of that many people! lol
Little early for getting the garden ready here, we don't usually start until after the first of May. A few people I know are buying tomato and chili seedlings for transplanting later after the frost danger is gone but not many. Like I said, it is to early in the year around here.
Curious if anybody saw the NPR definition of Easter. For those of you who haven't, take a gander at this buttload of ignorance from the radio channel we pay for with our taxes:
"Easter—the day celebrating the idea that Jesus did not die and go to hell or purgatory or anywhere like that, but rather arose into heaven—is on Sunday."
Hard to believe you can jam that many mistakes into one sentence. 1. Jesus did die. 2. He did go to hell. 3. He did not ascend to heaven until 40 days later.
