I was a good Democrat when I got out of the service. The war was over. I thought all Americans should have a job. Equal rights for all was a good idea. I even thought a hand up with a little welfare to help out was a good idea. Then came Jimmy "Peanut Farmer" Carter and the bubble burst. When I voted for Reagan it was the first time in my life to vote for a Republican, any Republican. I finally understood that voting for a party instead of a person is a stupid way to elect those running our towns, states or country. Looking back over the last 40+ years it is easy to see how far downhill our politicians on both sides of the aisle have gone. I don't have enough room here to tell everyone how sickening politicians have become and what I think of them. Trump is not a politician so time will tell. One thing I do like is he keeps the idiots in the House and Senate on their toes because they never know what he will do or say. Another thing is how he handles all the hate against him. He gives crap back no matter who it is but in a nicer way. So we will see just like we find out how good all Presidents are after they are out of office.
