Hillary stole furniture from State Department too. Remember how the Clintons stole furniture and art work off the walls when they left the White House? Yeah, well, nothing has changed: Arkansas trailer trash then, Arkansas trailer trash now.

  • Another Podesta e-mail...Even he think Hildabitch doesn't know what planet she is on.....And people still want to vote for her?

      "This was an honest mistake and we apologize." No, it's not an honest mistake. The driver most likely did it under protest. He knew it was wrong, he knew it was illegal. They did it because they don't GIVE a rat's ass about anybody but themselves.

  • Her Majesty was far from 'dead broke' when this pilfering occurred, which might lead you to conclude that she is a congenital thief as well as a congenital liar. What an accomplishment!

  • The White House is a museum. Unless they bought it with their own money, or brought it with them, nothing in there belongs to them. Question: If they took items from the White House they didn't buy nor brought with them, how is it possible they were allowed to do that? Did they bring it back?

    • Surely you know by now that the Clintons are untouchable. They could fly an airplane into the Empire State Building and James Carville would say, "Republicans do that all the time!" and Comey would say, "It's not clear they had criminal intent."

        • When you return stuff after the shit hits the fan, I don't think that exonerates you. Politicians do that all the time: they get caught, declare the offense was accidental, then repay part of the amount of their theft, and voila! they're in the clear somehow. And remember, they vandalized the White House on the way out too, like taking all the W keys out of the keyboards because it was George W Bush coming in:

          For the life of me, I cannot imagine any circumstance in which I would ever consider furniture in a government-owned building that I did not buy myself mine to take home with me. When the Clintons were walking around saying, "Take this, take this, etc." while pointing to couches and chair and tables, they had to know they were stealing.

          • I guess it is complicated because some were gifts for them, whereas others were gifts for the museum. I cannot imagine people not knowing the difference if they were told... but they could claim the gift wasn't clear. They had a legitimate way to cover their asses as some items were returned to the Clintons as well. I don't think the President should get gifts (nor his family) until AFTER their stay.

          • Yes did you read the article? Also interestingly enough Trump gifted furniture to Nancy O'Dell in a bid to sleep with her. My Mother gifted an entire furniture suite to one of my aunts... basically... furniture can be gifts.

            Some where for the museum not the Clintons and others for the Clintons not the museum. Now this seems complicated and some people don't like politifacts so... it is what it is,,, :-/

          • Furniture can be gifts but not when you're a government employee and the furniture is for a government building. That's stretching things to an Arkansas level.

          • Don't get mad. According to the article the President (and his family) can receive certain amounts of gifts while in the White House, but he has to pay what I think are taxes or something on the extra amount? That is one of the reasons why I said earlier that it seems complicated.

            Some of the gift givers seemingly specified a gift (including furniture) was for the Clintons NOT the museum, whereas other gift givers specified that they wanted their gifts (even furniture) to be in the White House.

            Now completely wrong to take shit that didn't belong to them and specifically belonged to the White House/US citizens and tax paying legal residents. Also vandalizing the White House was also wrong. We are not arguing that, just saying that there is seemingly another dimension to the story. They OVER TOOK, instead of just taking what was legally theirs through gifts that were meant for them and not the museum (WH). That is how they get to cover their asses by saying that oops the rules are complicated and they didn't quite understand what was theirs or not... I don't believe it, I think they knew very well and wanted to see what they could get away with, but difficult to prove CONSIDERING the complications of the laws concerning the gifts.

            Bad people? Yes. We are not discussing
            that.

            Solution: Fix the rules or simplify. During his or her tenure the Executive, his personal, state and federal employees and his family are not allowed to take any gifts neither for themselves nor the White House. Any citizen who wants to gift the White House, they must do so through proper channels and all stays in the White House when the President (staff, employees and family) leaves.
