Audi Attempts to Exploit the Gender Pay Gap Myth with Lame Superbowl Commercial: If Audi could get the same amount of productivity for 30% less they would only hire women -of course Audi knows this is a myth or they wouldn’t be making ads trying to sell their incredibly expensive luxury items to the ladies. But don’t take our word for it, ask Audi to put their money where their motor-mouth is by charging no more than 70 cents on the dollar for every car a female buys.

  • Besides the fact they make overpriced shitmobiles, These business people are going to have to be taught that they need to stick to selling cars, you want to promote a political agenda? Don't like the way things are going? Then run for office Audi assholes. To misquote FORMER president Obama...

  • Once they were called on there own inequality, they admitted that pay has many variables, thus THEIR pay inequality is really "on par" with what they pay men.

  • I don't know about you, but I sure's hell don't want to be lectured while I'm watching a football game! I want beer, nachos and lots of testosterone around me.

  • Why can't anyone ever name A SINGLE COMPANY that is paying women 70 cents on the male dollar? If it's the national average, then they should have no problem coming up with a mile-long list of companies with that sort of pay scale.

I can sit here and name companies all day long that pay a dollar for a dollar, female and male.

So if I can come up with, say, 10 companies, then in order for .70/1.00 to be the NATIONAL AVERAGE, they're going to have to name 10 companies that pay .70/1.00, or perhaps 9 companies that pay .60/1.00!

Or maybe they can name one company that pays women .35 on the male 1.00. That would make that average a little closer to reality.

The truth is: They can't name ONE company that pays what they claim is "the national average."

  • The ads this year were just that, ads. No humor, nothing clever, just ads. I caught the underlying theme of "we are one big melting pot and kumba-effing-ya.''

One stand out was Alfa Romeo (didn't even know they were still in business, so they succeeded it that respect) they are selling red, apparently fast, Italian sports cars. No jacking around, no social message, just selling cars. I give them credit for that much. The rest, Coke, Audi, Bud, fu*k you.

    • The best ad was a local New England ad for some MRI company. They filmed it in September when Brady was suspended and played it right after the game. I'm guessing the roar that went up in New England when that ad played felt like an earthquake. But you wouldn't have seen it unless you were in the area.
