The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is conflating the results of two different types of coronavirus tests, distorting several important metrics and providing the country with an inaccurate picture of the state of the pandemic. We’ve learned that the CDC is making, at best, a debilitating mistake: combining test results that diagnose current coronavirus infections with test results that measure whether someone has ever had the virus. The upshot is that the government’s disease-fighting agency is overstating the country’s ability to test people who are sick with COVID-19. The agency confirmed to The Atlantic on Wednesday that it is mixing the results of viral and antibody tests, even though the two tests reveal different information and are used for different reasons.
This is not merely a technical error. States have set quantitative guidelines for reopening their economies based on these flawed data points.

Take the number of deaths from Covid-19 (if you can believe those) and divide by the total number of positive tests. The damn #s are so low that the power whores have to find another method to ensure that they can keep the sheep in line. Well, there are many sheep dogs that are saying GFYS and get out of our faces.
I know the total death count is also skewed. If you test positive for Corona and Lime, but die in a car accident. Poof, you died of Covid19. Doesn't matter that your body went flying through the windshield and your head struck the pavement at a high velocity.

It's going to be awkward at Derek Chauvin's murder trial when his defense attorney points out that George Floyd is listed as an official Covid-19 death. I can hear it already: "How can my client be charged with murder by the same government that says the victim was killed by a virus?"
So the old saying about NEVER trusting the government comes to mind again. When do heads roll on this? The damage these bureaucrat boobs have caused is in the billions, ruined lives, bankrupt businesses, suicides...these CDC folks need to be held accountable and hung from a short rope.

I live in Virginia. The Virginia Department of Health has CHANGED the way tests are recorded. (I cut and pasted this) - The Virginia Department of Health announced it will now count the number of positive virus tests instead of the number of people who test positive.
That means if one person is tested three-times and all three tests come back positive, it counts as three instead of how the numbers were being counted before, which would have only been one because it was a single patient.

This is CRAZY weird way of recording this virus! We have been doing really good on getting the numbers down here. We do all have to wear masks in stores, doctors offices etc. You can also see the chart of the daily infection rates on the linked page as well. They have been falling dramatically.
That same thing is happening all over the country. Let's say you work in a restaurant and they require you to get tested. You test positive. That's one case. You want to get back to work so you get tested 15 days later and it's still positive. That's counted as a second case. Now you're so stressed out by being unable to work you get drunk and drive into a fire hydrant. You get cited for drunk driving but they take you to the hospital first because of a gash on your forehead. The hospital tests you, you test positive (of course) and that's a third case. Now they haul you off to jail for the drunk driving and of course the jails are all testing now so they know which inmates have to be isolated and so you get counted as a Covid-19 case for a fourth time.
No wonder it looks like the Black Death is taking over America.
The should flush the CDC for further processing, those basyards committed Treason, as well as aiding the.enemies. Hang the whole bunch!
The info in the linked article is a bit old but I have no doubt the same shenanigans are still going on. I don't trust these MFers any further than I can throw them. These bureaucrat bastards live their whole life preparing for and predicting pandemics and when they approach retirement they get desperate for their lives to show some meaning. Hence their proclivity for lying about how serious every single seasonal flu is, and how serious Covid-19 is.
I am also suspicious about the test for active coronavirus. There are a million coronaviruses out there in circulation. The common cold is generally caused by a coronavirus. I don't believe for one second their panic-rigged Covid-19 test zeroes in on one specific strain of coronavirus and accurately tells us who has the serious Covid-19 one. They aren't that competent and they aren't that honest. I'm guessing their test shows a positive for any coronavirus that has certain specific characteristics of Covid-19 and even though many of those people testing positive have something that is not Covid-19 at all, they still get lumped in with and counted as a Covid-19 patient. Whereas in truth they had a mild virus that would have given them either no symptoms at all or nothing more than an inconvenient cold.
