I believe we've just witnessed Instant Karma. Right after he did that gratuitous Buddhist peace sign (or whatever that is he always does with his hands), he walked into a closed door. It was like Buddha himself saying, "Knock it off!"
correct me if I'm wrong.... but I seem to recall George Bush trying to go through a locked door at the White House, and the press and left wing hammered him endlessly for it
