Wyrobek said the plant, which usually operates until 11 p.m., shut down about four hours early on the first night of the riots because he wanted to keep his workers out of harm’s way. He said a production supervisor and a maintenance worker who live in the neighborhood became alarmed when fire broke out at the $30 million Midtown Corner affordable housing apartment complex that was under construction next door.
“The fire engine was just sitting there,” Wyrobek said, “but they wouldn’t do anything.”

I don't get it. Why did the firemen do nothing? Was there an order from the mayor's office to let the city burn? I can't read the article because it requires a subscription.
Evidently "operating" has two different definitions in Minneapolis.

"Frey said the city was overwhelmed by the riots. He said every fire truck was operating during the protests."
LOL. Looks like the leftists decided to burn their own city down.
He should move out of Minnesota altogether; South Dakota is right next door and they have reasonable politicians, starting with Gov. Noemi.
Maybe Lebron, Collin, Oprah and all the rest who have been bitching and inciting the rioting will pony up some of their wealth and put it to use and replace this manufacturer. Maybe Steve Kerr and George Poppovich can take out a loan and open an academy for basketball on the ashes. All the loud mouth bitchers and hollier than though leftards talk it but refuse to walk it. From the private schools for their children, to the heavily armed security details, they live in a bubble only poke their heads out to spout off and crawl back to their nice enclave.
