That's because they never read 1984, Animal Farm, and the Communist Manifesto. Or, they did read them, and thought they were great ideas, in spite of over 100 years of failure.
I'm getting around to 1984 audio book on YT. The Communist manifesto was on a Reading List for an high school class. I can't recall which, nor do I recall details about it. Trying to get through animal farm but the cartoon is so boring.
They mistook them as instruction manuals.
