• 3rd Degree murder is the official charge.

• I listened to the DA trying to explain why it took so long. He didn't convince me. If any member of the public had been seen killing somebody on multiple cameras from multiple angles, he would have been immediately arrested, not sent home while the DA "investigated." I'm not even sure what they investigated. They're the police, I'm sure they had all the videos within an hour and were watching them. Thing is, if this arrest had been made yesterday or the day before, a whole lot of destructive rioting might have been avoided.

  • It’s possible there’s a union involved. If there is, the steps are spelled out in the CBA on how arrest are made.

    • Ah. But would that determine how long it takes to make the arrest? 'Cause it looks like a couple days made all the difference here.

      • I think the delay was deliberate in coordination with the Soros/Antifa/BLM crowd.

        • Wouldn't surprise me. The DA was making all kinds of excuses but all I kept hearing was the word "investigation" and I don't see what there was to investigate.

          Incidentally, someone just told me they heard Chauvin and Lloyd were acquainted, that they worked together as bouncers at a club. If that's true, it does add a new dimension and at least opens the possibility that there was more going on here than simple casual cruelty. Maybe that's what the DA's office was investigating.

        • This whole thing is spreading like a crack in a windshield. The DA is now saying there’s video of the other officers applying pressure to Floyd as well. The “curfew” that was put in place is about worthless. It’s time to release the dogs, water cannons and horses. Take the city back from the Soros thugs and goons. If there’s not a strong response it’s going to grow by 20 fold.

        • Yeah, all they're doing right now is giving Antifa thugs more time to travel to Minneapolis.
