New York City has a mayor who never shows up. De Blasio takes every Friday off, works out three hours a day, and makes an appearance at City Hall only ten times a month. He hasn’t met with the heads of Buildings, Parks, City Planning, Youth and Community Development, or scandal-scarred Children’s Services in over a year, and when he fired Emergency Management Commissioner Joe Esposito last Monday it was the first time he’d seen the guy in two and a half years.

I think his wife is actually in charge. She's ALWAYS at his side, kind of like VJ was always at Barry's side during his admin. de Blasio is a vacuum for socialistic crap, and I think his wife has her hand on the switch.
Maybe that's why he goes to the gum three hours a day, to get away from her.

Personally, I think a 57-year-old husband and father who works out three hours a day at the gym has a couple screws loose. Or he's going there for something other than working out. When I was in my twenties I joined a downtown gym near my job and someone told me immediately, "Oh, you don't want to work out there." "Why not?" I asked. I found out why not the first time I went there after work.
When it comes to collecting taxes, though, Comrade DeBlasio is on the job 24/7.
