THIS is exactly why the schools should be blasted for letting them walk out. SAFETY.
Shouldn't have let him walk out at all. No school district in New Mexico allows middle school kids to leave the campus until school is out and they are escorted to the bus lot. Very few walk home either. To many weirdos out there, especially in the cities.

Here's a thought. Keep the little gummers in class and teach them something useful, like the Constitution and history instead of these beyond stupid walkouts. A waste of a potentially good kid but my pity quotient is used up.
I feel bad for the kids parents, but I feel WORSE for the driver.
If the child were in class where he belonged, they would still be alive.
Perhaps a nice large lawsuit against the school for negligence will put a stop to this crap.
Maybe they will name Mr. Hogg in this suit!
