Part of D.C. Gun Carry Law Struck Down in Federal Court

Part of D.C. Gun Carry Law Struck Down in Federal Court. Based upon this shouldn’t all states (ahem California) that have this requirement change to shall issue?

District Judge Richard Leon, a George W. Bush appointee, said the city’s requirement that applicants prove they have a “good reason” to carry a firearm beyond self-defense violates the Second Amendment as interpreted in the landmark Heller decision.

  • This is nothing compared to the 9th Circus Court ruling in favor of the gun rights group in Kalifornia.

  • Funny, when the ruling has to do with gay marriage they put public officials in jail for not complying. But when it comes to a real right, you know like that of self defense, the same standard is not applied.
