Ratings for Sunday’s Oscars telecast tumble, early data shows. Down almost 16%. The Hollywood Heros still won’t get it until they all file for bankruptcy.
The plunge in the early measure suggested total viewership for the film industry’s highest honors could come in below the 2008 record low of 32 million, and follows a rating slide in other award shows and sport events this year as viewers turn to streaming options.

I no longer watch TV of any kind. I do watch alt-media, which is being threatened for no small reason: It's making the mainstream lose control. Ooopsy. This reminds me of the printing press and how it pissed off the RC Church. (Not trying to be anti-religious... you know what I'm saying: Power corrupts. Ultimate power corrupts ultimately. That's regardless if it's state, religion, or corporate charters.)
Or “as viewers tell the entertainment industry to shove it.”
Gee and I missed it.....and I don't mind at all.
BREAKING: Viewership for the Academy Awards plunged 20 percent from last year to a record-low 26.5 million.

Gee, why aren't more people enthralled with the self-congratulatory preening of our artistic and intellectual betters? Probably racism has a lot to do with it, plus sexism and, of course, homophobia.
Oops, I almost left out transphobia, intersectionalityism, and class envy.
You forgot potted plants....
