Rep. Mike Johnson Elected 56th Speaker of the House. The GOP-created shit show, which was over the GOP-created shit show in the House, is now over. We won’t miss do-nothing Kevin McCarthy at all. Now, we can wait and see if we have yet another do-nothing in charge.

You gotta like this: somebody looked up Johnson's Twitter history and found a gem. In 2021, after McCarthy had given an hours-long speech trying to stop some sort of dastardly Democrat legislation, Eric Smalwell, the notoriously dumb Democrat who was caught sleeping with a Chinese spy, tweeted, "Is there an English translation for @GOPLeader McCarthy Floor speech?"
Whereupon Johnson answered with: "You prefer it whispered to you in Chinese?"
Very nice. Trumpesque. Smalwell must have carried the smell of burnt flesh for days.

Yeah, I figured that was what was going on, McCarthy was putting gum in the works hoping they would finally beg him to come back as speaker. He turned out to be a real piece of work.

He just said the first bill to the floor will be to give $105 billion to Ukraine and Israel. We have another fucking RINO clown.
I do not understand this U.S. government obsession with Ukraine. I have no problem with Ukrainians as a people, but their government is notoriously corrupt and the current president of Ukraine is every bit as much a thug as Putin, so why are we so concerned about this mess? I started wondering this when he did a mass arrest of Eastern Orthodox priests a year or so ago because he said they were giving pro-Russia sermons. Say what? So my tax money is going to support a guy who mass arrests Christian priests? Why? And given how corrupt Ukraine is, what percentage of the money we send them is ending up in Swiss bank accounts for government officials? I just don't get it. The only answer is that the bribe money flying around has purchased not only Biden but most of Congress too.
