Romney’s speech was designed to stop Cruz, not Trump. Lost in all the attention paid to his attacks on Trump was the revealing fact that he encouraged all three of the other candidates to stay in the race. That counterproductive advice leads to the possibility of a brokered convention where Romney and Ryan could swoop in and snag the nomination, whereas if Kasich and Rubio had dropped out before Tuesday, Cruz would have shellacked Trump and would hold the delegate lead now.

Why isn't anyone talking about how Romney filed for nomination back in January? Of course he wants a brokered convention, he wants to run again and lose like before.

The Republican elites are just beginning to ramp up their money machine against anyone but "their" choice for the nomination....Really sad when these "elected" morons turn a blind eye to what the people want, and what they want is to be heard and represented, not be sold down the river by a bunch of millionaires like Good old Bain Boy Romney. They are more than likely getting help from libtards in one form or another, I would not be surprised to see coordinated attacks against Trump and Cruz by both the RNC and DNC. That happens, you know the shit is gonna hit the fan in one form or another.

Good job. Didn't do me any good here in Michigan on Tuesday but did you notice that Cruz and Kasisch between them had over 50% of the vote? Trump is not drawing anything like a majority. If Kasich and Rubio would just get out, Cruz would win.

I think Cruz will take it here in NC. latest pols have them within 6% and 20 % undecided. I think those undecideds will break for Cruz.
I'm in NC and I got polled today for the first time in my life. I refused to say which party or which candidate I will vote for. I hope I don't have to stand in line or talk to anyone. I'm in the same voting district as Wingate University and I'm really curious to see how the people around here vote. I may be the only Cruz voter in this county.

Does NC have an open primary? If you do be sure to count the registered independents and democrats, many of them are moving behind Trump. Something they cannot do in states with closed primaries.
NC is a modified primary, Indies can pick a R or D ballot to vote from, BUT Dems must vote on the Dem ballot, Rep on the Rep ballot...So not at all like SC where you had 195K+ and MS with is 150K+ dems (and I am counting Dems alone not indies) crossing over to steal it for Trump just so they can hope to vote against him in the general.
I wish New Mexico has a modified primary like that, I would register as an independent in a heartbeat. I have never believed in voting for a party, I vote for the person running for the office.
I have voted for republicans, democrats, independents, I even voted for a green party guy once in a state election, I thought he would be the best for the job he was running for.
Don't count your chickens over the democrats crossing the line for Trump, I know a lot of them here that have changed their registration just so they could vote for him when our primary time gets here. They cannot change back before the general either, our laws prevent that.
Well unlike SC or MS where they could register or change affillation and vote the same day, here they would have had the forethought to switch parties, before December 15, 2015 in order to do that. and that was really before any polls showed that might be needed. So I am not worried about it.

I'm registered as "unaffiliated". That is the only way I can chose which primary I want to vote in.
My state has a closed primary. You have to register as a democrat or republican, and have to vote that way, or you cannot vote at all.
