That's because they suck out loud, and haven't made a profit in years. The only reason they are still around is because clowns like Carlos Slim use them as a tax write-off.
Why is this thing even in business any more? Newspapers are like owning a Yugo..It has no use, doesn't run, and just sits there looking stupid.
If you've got a Yugo you're trying to sell, there's one sure-fire way to double it's value. Fill the gas tank. If you're trying to sell the NY Times, I'd say fire all the writers and editors.
