  • This choice shocked me. I was absolutely certain they would pick J Castro. My guess is they feel that Trump gives them a complete lock on the Hispanic vote, so Castro wouldn't provide any new bang for the buck. Oddly enough, the Hispanics I've discussed politics with understand that Trump actually is the better choice and will be voting for him. I guess they feel this cat will provide them enough of the dumber fence sitters in swing states to provide a win in the general.

  • He's the douch bag governor who shutdown the Interstate rest areas in VA as a budget cutting measure. I guess cracking down on welfare fraud and reducing the size of government was too much to ask.

  • He's not anti-abortion. He tries to paint that picture so he can pick up some of those conservative voters in Virginia, but he has a perfect score of 100 from NARAL. He's basically a Pelosi Catholic, attending church for the votes, not attending church because he believes in what they say there.   • With the VP pick out of the way, the only suspense at the convention will be whether or not Her Majesty can stay sober for the whole four days.

    • I was just about to say...he looks like the guy your parents told you to stay away from when you were a kid.

  • Correction: SAINT Kaine who's "deep Catholic faith is in the tradition of Pope Francis," except for that whole abortion thing. Whatever. Only choice I can see who hasn't been investigated for a federal crime or two... Yet.
