Note: The Bernbot claims to be disabled and the video we linked is edited to make the tow-truck driver appear to be a heartless monster. So here is his full quote in regard to her supposed condition:
“Had she been disabled, would I have towed her car? No ma’am. I would have pulled forward and sat there with her to make sure she was OK until another wrecker service showed up to get her home safely, but I still would not have towed her car,” said Shupe. “I stand by my decision, and I would do it again today if the opportunity presented itself.”

People usually dont' drive with the mirror tag hanging there. MIL has one and it is not smart to drive with one there- it can lead to an accident.
She could have pushed the car 5 miles uphill, just by leaning on it.
I don't think being morbidly obese is a disability.
The truck driver mentioned that he had previous problems with Sanders backers not paying their towing bills; Socialists are quite stingy when it comes to spending their own money.
If there was a placard, I bet it comes out the car wasn't hers.

Good point. When I was in law enforcement the placard didn't mean too much, if you didn't have a disabled tag and were parked in a handicap spot you were still liable to get a ticket. Of course every state varies.
Also seen people use the placard belonging to someone else. Technically, if the placard-assigned person isn't in the car, and you park in an assigned spot, you can get a ticket.
Why would you give a ticket to someone who had a handicapped placard?
Many states use a placard to hang on the mirror instead of a handicap license plate or sticker and they can be misused. New Mexico uses a handicap placard but they have a picture of the person it was issued to too stop this problem. My mother has one, with her picture, if I got lazy and "borrowed" her placard I could get a hefty fine if I got caught parking in a handicap space.
If they were parked in a handicapped parking spot. I probably would not have, but the law required the vehicle to have a disabled tag to make use of one of those spots.
Maybe I don't understand what a "placard" is. My dad has something that hangs from the mirror instead of a handicapped license plate because he doesn't own a car anymore. So anyone who drives him somewhere can take the hanger and park in handicapped parking.
That would be the placard I was referring to. The state I was in did not issue them and they could not be used in lieu of an HC tag -of course that was back in the late nineties/early two-thousands, that may very well have changed by now.

I had a placard for six months. It was a temporary disability, and was issued to me when I had knee surgery. Not much sense in getting a different license plate for a six month disability.
Besides, it's a person that's disabled, not a car, so there's got to be a way for that person to take the ability to park closer with them when they go someplace in someone else's car.
