Trump has decided to end DACA, with 6-month delay

Trump has decided to end DACA, with 6-month delay. So this is the decision according to “sources.” We’ll wait and see if this is true or not.

President Donald Trump has decided to end the Obama-era program that grants work permits to undocumented immigrants who arrived in the country as children, according to two sources familiar with his thinking.

CO2Insanity: Tired of the CO2 BS and all the other BS in the US and the world.

  • The liberal's argument is "You can't punish these kids for what their parents did."

Tell me then, how is it the same liberal's want to take my money in the form of slave reparations? They want to punish me for what their ancestors did.

    • But they are not children... once they become 18 they can choose to go back to origin and live there, or go back and start legal process, or stay and start legal process: by going into military which expedites things, by getting an attorney and sponsor and go through the process.

They basically just believe that because they got here and got to live here all this time, they have no responsibility towards the country to get their legal status situation sorted. I feel no pity for them and they are not being punished for what their parents did, they are being held responsible for their lack of responsibility.

  • Good. I'm sick of hearing that "They do jobs Americans don't want to do" crap. I'm sick of employers that don't want to pay minimum wage taking jobs away from some Americans that just want a job, any job. Not every unemployed person aspires to be a lifetime welfare recipient.

    • There's one little chunk of reality that is tied directly into that "jobs Americans don't want to do" nonsense. You can't have open borders AND a welfare state. One or the other has to go. Preferably both.

  • If true: He is hoping that people will self deport (as they should have done anyway), so it doesn't force ICE and others in government and by extension himself to "heartlessly separate family from one another" and blah blah blah.

    Fine.

This wasn't even an Executive Order I came to find out. It was a memo directive. If true didn't even had to be implemented at all or Congress could have said... NOPE and that would have been the end of that and get the people deported. But the feckless Congress did nothing because they didn't want to be called racist which was going to happen no matter what they did in the end.... and it did.

Congress needs to either revoke the what? 13th amendment right? Can't look right now. As there are no longer any slaves in the USA (legally) and descendants of slaves are so spread out genetically that it will prove impossible for even the most virulent Democrat racist to demand slave descendants to be sent away (which was the reason why the amendment was done in the first place). Either do what they need to do to get rid of it OR demand SCOTUS study the Constitutional reasons and purposes of the Amendment and make a case that this had ONE purpose and ONE purpose alone and the purpose was successful and no OTHER purpose is to be aligned with the amendment. This way it eliminates anchor baby issues.

Then Executive and Congress need to work together. Decide finally on the laws of immigration for now and the future and set it in stone. Then make sure that everyone that works directly or indirectly on this issue is in agreement if they aren't they are fired or if elected officials they need to be voted out (term limits is also something that needs to be worked on). Then do it.

Illegals... go away... just go back. Whatever. Do it yourself and if you really want to come back here get in the back of the line and do it the right way. If it is yes good for you, if it is no then do what you need to do in your country to make it better. If they won't go back on their own, deport them and mark them so they have no re-entry rights.

These so called dreamers... if under the age of 18... go back. Parents and child have no rights of re-entry in my opinion they can just apply like everyone else if they really want to and go back to the end of the very long line and wait their turn.

If the child spent 10 years or more here and is now an adult, the parent or the aunt or whoever needs to get the hell out. The child now adult needs to go back, but okay I got no problem with him or her being giving the paperwork to start the process legally, but they need to pay fees and taxes not paid. They cannot be put in front of anyone else that did things legally, but they may put the case that this is the only country that they have really known and assimilated into, etc. so maybe the process doesn't have to be as long because they lived here for more than ten years, but they still have to go through the process. Then in a long time, once they actually get citizenship the right way, they can ask for auntie or mama or whoever if they are still alive. That to me is very "compassionate".

Are we a sovereign country? If we are then we have the right to determine who stays and go goes. If we aren't then we are doomed for what is the purpose of our taxes and all this law and order?

  • Well, while I look forward to this travesty ending, handing it off to Paul Ryan won't exactly get the desired result.
