OK This woman is clearly a dumb ass. This is not unusual for her: https://youtu.be/bQAuh10kxDU She is asked a clear question which she refused to answer, she sounds like a rehearsed robot. Liberalism is a mental disorder.
I was an armed Police Officer for 28 years and, yes, I had to draw my weapon a couple of times and only once did I open fire. I had maybe a second or so before deciding to shoot. That shooting was because someone else's life was, to me, in danger. The assailant died almost immediately. Two rounds of semi-hollow point .38 bullets at 10' range, aimed at central body mass has that effect.
I would like to emphasise the fact that I had the same time it takes you to blink twice to decide whether or not to shoot. I shot. Twice.
The entire incident was investigated. I had to appear in a Coroner's Court where a decision was to be made whether or not my shooting was justified. If not I would have been charged with homicide. It's not a pleasant experience. Shooting is one thing, the aftermath is worse. Press speculation, Court appearances etc.
The shooting was found to have been entirely justified. Found after FIVE harrowing days in Court.
Don't ever tell me that the Police are gun-happy.
Hey cop. Thanks. Sorry you had to decide. Thank you for enduring. Jesus keep your house.
THAT being said: http://www.foxnews.com/story/2006/10/01/florida-police-shot-suspected-cop-killer-68-times.html
And there're some gun happy FEDs
How can people be that stupid? She obviously never been trained to shoot.
You mean like rushing to the judgement that he had a firearm and was SHOOTING people?
Police are trained(or at least they were in 1969 when I was trained at the US Army Military Police school) to use their firearm as the last resort, but when forced to use it, shoot to kill.
However, Progressives know as much about police training as I do about gender studies.
Rush to judgement?
1. Aren't police trained to "rush to judgement"? Isn't that what their job is when confronted with a life-and-death situation? Of course they won't always choose the optimum course of action, and there's always 20/20 hindsight. But when there's a guy hacking away with a machete, I can understand a little "rushing" and I don't have a problem with it.
2. The irony here is that this is coming from people who have raised "rushing to judgement" to an art form. CO2 going up? NO examination! NO evaluation of pros and cons! We don't have time to think! We must ACT NOW!
Someone got shot? No time to evaluate statistics and previous results of our demanded response! We must ACT NOW!
What the hell do you think they meant with that famous line "never let a good crisis go to waste"
Won't happen but it would be interesting if all the cops who responded to the next one just stood there and watched. Might be a message that would get through to these morons.
Thats what I thought. Next time, lets have the cops stop and wait, let the suspect stab or shoot a whole bunch of people, make sure we know the suspect is a killer, but first ask the suspect what his motivation is...then shoot him. Liberals are sooooo stupid it is beyond comprehension.
Not just ask him his motivation but offer him a hug if that's what he needs. And those screaming people with the stab wounds needn't be so rude and intrusive--let the poor misunderstood terrorist vent in peace, people! Hush!
He might need some job counseling too.
