  • Not just full autos, but Short Barreled Rifles and Suppressors! And the latter two are what most people are getting these days. Thanks Obama!

  • Liberalism/Progressivism always generates the exact opposite of it's stated intent. Obama, like all who want to grab your guns, does not know anything about them, nor does he understand gun crime. If he really understood why some place have out of control gun crime, he wouldn't do what he does in regards to the 2nd Amendment. Which BTW, he doesn't believe in.

  • President Fecal Matter trots out his new plan and it is meaningless, and stupid, Just all the rest of his plans...But hey, he can claim another item off his checklist to screw up America...Criminals will still steal guns, and this douche will let them out of prison early to kill again. Chitcago/Detroit/Baltimore/New York and D.C. will still be filled with stolen guns that criminals have and this whole thing will be an exercise in how to waste time while being stupid. Wonder how many guns from Eric WienerHolder are still floating around out there in the hands of gang and cartel members?

  • Yanno, if he's going after the gunshow loophole, let him. I think most, if not all responsible gun owners are ok with this. I would love to see congress fast track a bill doing just that and shove it up his ass live on CNN. Just a thought.

    • Having never bought a gun at a gun show, I'm confused. Some things I read say there already are background checks at gun shows. Other things I read say no. So what the hell is the gun show loophole?

      • It means that if you sell guns for a living you have to have an FFL and do a background check on your buyer. If you are selling a personal weapon(s) or don't do it for a living you don't need a license. With my CCF permit, I can buy a gun from a licensed dealer and leave with it as the 3-day wait would be waived. I can sell you a gun without doing a background check as well, but I wouldn't because my guns are not for sale. It's a meaningless political gesture on Obama's part--nothing new there.

      • The alleged loophole is, if you buy a firearm from a commercial seller you must still pass a background check and wait 2 weeks before you acquire it, unless you have a ccw, in which case, in FL at least, you can walk out with it. Just like a brick and mortar store.
        However, if you purchase from a private seller, no check and you can walk out with it. No receipt, no check, no hassle. Just as if you had gone to his home and bought it.

        The government cannot track those, and does not like that idea.

        • That's exactly why Barky wants this.
          Those who are wise to the workings of goobermint, want to buy without a background check or paperwork, because when the goobermint comes looking to confiscate your guns, there is no paper trail to lead them to your house. Therefore, they cannot take yours.
          I know people that only deal in private sales for that reason alone. It's also the reason some people don't get concealed carry permits, because then the goobermint has paperwork to lead them to you when they want to confiscate them.
          It's just another way of nibbling away at your rights. Once they can track who has guns, they can take them away. I am less concerned with a felon getting a gun, than the goobermint knowing who legally owns a gun. A felon is more likely to do something to get caught, and end up in jail. A regular Joe that owns a couple of guns for target shooting, hunting, or self defense, isn't going to commit a crime, but is first on the list of people to get raided when the goobermint wants to disarm the populace.

          • Yup. And most people who buy and sell firearms privately will simply NOT comply with this asinine law anyway. If there were no paperwork when I bought it, there will be no paperwork when I sell it. And if there WERE paperwork when I bought it, if I decide to sell it, still no paperwork.

      • Depends on the state and if you are an infrequent seller. The "gun show loophole" is mostly a scary talking point by the fascist that want gun confiscation. If you have an FFL and go to any gun show, you have to do a background check.

        • Exactly. They can close the gun show loophole and effectively do nothing to keep guns from getting to criminals. The dealers at the gun shows DO background checks. However, it is common for people to walk in with a weapon they want to sell. Then walk around with a for sale tag dangling from the barrel. A potential buyer would then simply barter a price and pay for it on the floor of the gun show. No paperwork and a guy with a felony bank robbery record could buy a weapon at a gun show. It's merely a private transaction conducted on the gun show floor. Same felon could buy the same gun on Craigslist. Do nothing legislation that the rinos could shove up the administrations backside, with little to no flack from the NRA and 2A types.

          • So you can run it through an FFL dealer at the show. or you can walk outside and sell it direct there. The other option is go down to Leroy's Trunk Guns and buy one there.
