What a load of crap. 18% in 10 YEARS? Prices at the grocery store go up 18% in a MONTH. But, conveniently...food prices have been taken out of the equation that gauges inflation.
And the stock market is completely outta whack. The only thing holding it up is the zero % interest rate that the hedge funds get for borrowing money. Once that's gone, good luck holding 15,000.

I already took care of that problem. Took everything out of the market when it was over 18,200 and put it in interest bearing accounts and indexed annuities. The annuities don't make much, but won't lose, the interest account is locked in at 8%.
Smart move...
I seem to have a knack for getting out at the right time. When the market first hit 13,000 I got a feeling it was time to move out. I did leave things alone until it hit around 13,300 and then pulled out. We put everything in money markets, and about 2 weeks later, everything went tits up. I had people tell me they lost 75% of their value in the market, but we ended up making out.
Now, I'm hanging in with the indexed annuities and interest accounts, but I am getting to the point that I'm thinking about mayonnaise jars full of silver ingots in the back yard.
Of the seven things he lists that didn't exist in 2006 -I still don't have any of them(I'm bragging, not complaining).
I have only one, FB, which I am seriously considering dumping, since Schmuckerberg is rich enough.

Me too - except that I did get hooked up with FB long enough to get in touch with some people I went to college with 45 years ago. The fun and novelty quickly wore off and I realized I had started spending 95% of my time scrolling through political crap and looking at pictures of stranger's grandchildren just to find one or two interesting posts.
Yeah, I did my time on FB, too. It has some nice aspects (I liked sharing music videos on it), but it's a big, black hole of time wasting. And it gets addictive.
And on top of all that, they wouldn't let me use my "BluesJunky" handle on it anymore. After like 5 or 6 years of being on there. So that was the extra push I needed to dump them.
