7 San Francisco cops fire 65 shots at murder suspect

7 San Francisco cops fire 65 shots at murder suspect. Yes 65 shots. There were three people in there and no one was shot. We’re wondering if they even hit the motor home. It’s going to be a barrel of fun when SFPD gets Tasers.

CO2Insanity: Tired of the CO2 BS and all the other BS in the US and the world.

  • Yea, gives you another argument for gun control.
Let them take away everything from the public and let the government protect you.

  • Jesus Christ on a crutch, what a bunch of fuck-ups. My old granddaddy, God rest his soul, taught me when I was about 6 years old. If you can't see it, don't shoot at it.

Those idiots are lucky some innocent person was not killed. 65 shots and nobody was hit? Just plain stupid, and very lucky. Plus, the guy was in an RV! He was not going anywhere! There were no hostages, nobody was in danger, just wait the criminal out!

  • That's a reasonably new RV. I know what the walls are like, and I would NOT want to be on the other side of that rig. Well, at least the SFPD has AR-15s, so they can FILL an area with lead and hope for the best.

    • Yeah, but did those idiots know for sure there were not more people in the RV? Innocent people that could have been killed? While the dipshits were firing away blind? No way, this kind of stupidity by trained cops is not right in any way, shape or form. They should all be fired immediately.

    • Makes me think this is a) another hoax, or b) a movie set and the TV News is reporting it as an actual crime (any number of reasons why).

    • Yeah, I know what you're saying. There's not much there to stop a bullet. I'm guessing the buildings on the other side of the street have a lot of new bullet marks.

  • Man, that is some real Keystone Cops shit right there. How did they know there weren't innocent civilians in there? And why in the world did that one cop fall down? Was that supposed to be a commando dive or did he just trip, hit the sidewalk with a thud, and decide to start firing from the ground?

And one more quick question: did they manage to hit the RV?

        • One of my nephews bought an old Mosin-Nagant, a Russian 7.62 bolt action and it is unreal. You don't have to hit the side of the barn like you do with an AR or M-16, just get it close and the barn falls over anyway! Two counties away!

There are some funny stories out there about the difference in all kinds of weapons used by the military over the years but I swear some of the jokes about the Mosin are true. I humped with an M-16 and they are a good weapon for close combat situations. I own an AR-15, basically a 30.06 rifle and it is a good weapon. But my favorite is my old M-40 with a P-308 scope. 800 yards? No problem as long as the wind isn't too bad. And my nephews Mosin is almost as good a weapon for long range shooting.

  • I can't fault the guys for missing the suspect. He was inside an RV and not visible to the officers. However, releasing that much lead in an urban setting, into a tin can without a backstop?… if I'm their Lt., I'm taking some badges and firearms, pending a full investigation.

    • if I’m their Lt., I’m taking some badges and firearms, pending a full investigation.

However, since it is in San Fran, they will get promotions for not actually killing anyone.

  • Ha, that's under 10 shots per officer...are they complaining it's too many bullets? Lethal force encounters aren't pretty, and these cops prove it.

  • Looks like these guys trained drunk and blindfolded.....I bet their rangemaster is one proud son of a bitch, hey shoot to scare em, the new slogan on their prius patrol cars......What a bunch of idiots.

    • Sounds to me as if they had to be just close. There are desks waiting for their new occupants. That's where I would be if I were shooting so poorly.

    • The actors in Police Academy were better shots!
That dumbass General on CNN was a better shot!
Wiley E Coyote was more successful at shooting the Roadrunner!

      • Did you see the target that dumbass "general" fired at, from less than 20 feet away? My 18 year old granddaughter is a better shot than that!

          • Of course he is a paper pusher. Very few high level military officials got their jobs because they know shit about guns or combat, they knew how to kiss someone's ass. Patton and Bradley and. Nimitz and "Bull" Halsey. The last real military leader we have seen since WWII was "Stormin" Norman Schwarzkoph in the first gulf war. That Bush I and the other idiot politicians would not let him finish! So the other Bush II sent our troops in again, 16 f**king years ago and the job is not done yet. Because we don't have military leaders anymore, we have political hacks disgracing their uniform. And our brave men and women are still dying.

          • I couldn't have said it better!
I forget who, but I heard someone suggest that they should fire all the generals and promote all the E-7s and E-8s to General!
It was suggested because Generals are all too politically motivated, and so are E-9s.

  • My neighbors were awakened rudely late last night by the sound of my jaw hitting the floor after reading about the markspersonship of the SFPD. However, I'm sure the...officers...involved are among the most sensitive, caring souls in law enforcement today, so no one in the SF Progressive Establishment will hold it against them.
