  • No matter how good the telescope systems are, they can't detect high speed rocks under a certain size with any regularity. A 500 foot impact would produce a 160 megatons of blast, could wipe out a good sized city easily.

  • I keep saying... we live then we die... it is what it is. We burn, we freeze, we drown, we get electrocuted, we are blown into space... there is NOTHING that we can do to stop events of unthinkable magnitude. Just keep it real, live your life, Love the Lord Jesus (if you with Him) and do what you got to do. Do you what you CAN to take care of what you CAN take care of and encourage others (lovingly) to do the same. That is all you can do.

    • Good attitude young lady, that is the way life really is. Our Lord, fate, karma, however you believe or think about life, has already determined how long we will live or what kind of life we will live. We will be a drunk or a doper, we will become rich or stay poor, we will be what we are destined to be and there isn't much we humans can do about it. It is what it will be and it makes no sense to whine about it.

      • Thank you. I do believe that one can strive to be the best that one can be within the circumstances we are. We can and should be conquerors not victims or become conquerors after being victims. Some of us succeed and others don't for a diversity of reasons. We need to do our part that is for sure and persevere and don't give up, however we have very limited powers to control everything and especially things that are too big for us to control, that is when we need to put our Faith in someone Higher than ourselves and/or be at ease and accepting of our limitations. People go crazy trying to control everything, that is not an appropriate use of the life we are given.
