Acquitted of Manslaughter, Tulsa Officer Betty Jo Shelby Returns to Work. We’ve watched the video plenty of times and always came to the conclusion this was a good shoot. Yeah, you hear lots about him having his hands up, which he did until he reached inside the window, where he could have very easily had a firearm on the seat to grab. Then we’ll toss in non-compliance. Our personal opine is that the the DA was throwing her under the bus to prevent riots.

So far the "protests" here have been almost nonexistent, no real local news coverage if there are any. The family is suing the city though, no surprise there.
Not to mention the PCP in his system. Just like in the Navy.... you trip, fall and break your arm... if you had a sip of alcohol it's an alcohol related incident. If you have drugs in your system, all rights to complain about your ass getting shot go bye-bye.
Good. Clearly, and I can't believe it wasn't obvious to anybody who watched the video, he was ignoring her instructions and heading for his car window. That's a threat to the police officer, who deserves to go home at night in good health.
Good for my sister. Its real simple when interacting with the police. Keep your hands where they can be seen be everyone. Listen to what is being said, follow the directions given to you. Everyone wants to go home at the end of it all.
I have never felt in fear of my life the few times a cop has pulled me over. During those times I always tell the cop what I am about to do before doing it. No sudden moves. Even if the officer is a total jackass it's better to follow instructions and live to file a complaint later.
I can't imagine the feeling that some black people must have when the Christmas lights come on.
