• LOL I moved a guy for the State Department to Moscow years ago. Was an air freight shipment so not very big. Guy was a spy. His shipment consisted of nothing but toilet paper and Marlboro Reds. He told me the ladies loved American TP because the Russian TP was like sandpaper and he said if you wanted info a pack or two of Marlboros would get it. He said for a carton you could have someone killed.

  I moved another guy over there a few years later. I opened his closet to see the amount of clothes he had and there on a hanger sat twin Mac 10's in a shoulder holster.

  Then there was the guy with a LAWS rocket in his closet.

  The moving business can be interesting to say the least.

  • I used to drive a truck for a living. Pulled containers off the piers in NJ. We had a contract with Movers International. We carried household goods to and from the pier for people moving to other countries. We mainly dealt with corporate executives though. Nothing interesting like you did. Although, a couple of times I got to sit around and wait while they loaded up a 40' container. Got paid by the hour to nap, smoke, and eat.
