Apple says government lost access to shooter’s iPhone backup by changing passcode. Looks like the FBI should hire someone who knows what they’re doing with Apple products.
UPDATE: We’re not sure whether to call this an update, correction or BS but here’s the latest:
The auto reset was executed by a county information technology employee, according to a federal official. Federal investigators only found out about the reset after it had occurred and that the county employee acted on his own, not on the orders of federal authorities, the source said.
Apple executives say the iPhone was in the possession of the government when iCloud password was reset. A federal official familiar with the investigation confirmed that federal investigators were indeed in possession of the phone when the reset occurred.
All we can say is yeah right, if you say so.

Incompetence all the way down from our first affirmative action president. Plus no penalties for screwing up. In fact if you screw the pooch you get a promotion and a big bonus.
Obama has used his super power of "SH*T MIDAS" on fedzilla too.
What did you expect? Government F*cks up everything it touches, or in the case of ranchers just kills them outright cause they got nothing else...
Another typical government clusterfuck. But I also spotted this little gem;

iCloud password was reset
On the orders of Barky? Can't be having Mooselimbs being labeled as terrorists.
Man, this investigation was one blunder after another. Remember when they let reporters into the crime scene and the FBI and local sheriff were both pointing fingers at each other?
Go to the inner city. Find a 10 year old kid. Tell him to hack into the phone. 10 minutes....max
Probably not, the gooberment experts had already gotten their hands on it. Are you familiar with the term FUBAR? The term was coined for federal gooberment employees.
