• Maybe Congress needs to take a look at the "farming" subsidies (worth a few million dollars PER YEAR) he gets from the taxpayers for that 800 (give or take) acre "ranch" he lives on in Jersey.

  I mean if he's "embarrassed" to be an American, then logic says he should also be "embarrassed" to take taxpayer money in the form of farming subsidies since he does NO farming AT ALL!

  • I wonder how much it costs him to keep the area secure from squatters who might enjoy camping out there for free? And whether any of his security carry firearms or if he simply uses the local LE to make rounds now & then? I wonder if his local LE gets any kickbacks from him? Most people don't think about the extent of corruption that goes on among the rich & famous and their local government. The service they get is usually not equal to what the rest of us receive, yet these clowns talk endlessly about inequality. Funny, no?

  Lived in NJ when he became "big". Completely overhyped back there then and completely irrelevant now.

• Back in the day, when I was younger & dumber, I remember the big push to make Springsteen the next big thing. In particular, when he released his album, "The River". I gave it a try, & just could not get into it then. I really did, & then I went my direction, which was mainly hard rock/metal mainly from Europe. Thankfully, those bands have stayed the hell away from American politics. I am happy that I never bought into a band for years only to want to burn all their CDs later in a fire pit.   • The River was a bad choice to try him out.
    His first 3 albums, IMHO, are his best work.
    1973 Greetings from Asbury Park, N.J
    1973 The Wild, The Innocent & the E Street Shuffle
    1975 Born to Run
    Were all “real” albums, with music that is very relatable. They paint a picture of living in NJ in the 70’s, and are more party tunes than political statements.
    1978 Darkness on the Edge of Town was mostly a dark and depressing album, and I don’t feel like he ever recovered from that. Then he got political and lost me.

    • I never bought that album, or any of his albums. His stuff, lots of it, was constantly on the radio here. I really did try to like the guy, & for whatever reason, it didn't connect with me.

    • I like about 3 of his hits and that's all I care to hear.
