Sorry folks.... The law clearly states
"Although the new ruling states that all patients in Canada are entitled to a physician-assisted suicide, their condition must meet certain criteria for them to eligible. For example, the law states that patients must be of adult age and must be assessed by a doctor to be mentally competent and capable of giving consent, Common Dreams reported. They must also be suffering from a condition which is considered to be either physically or psychologically intolerable. Also, if a physician does not want to assist in the suicide, they will not be forced to comply."
Only the patient can initiate the process, and the doctor always has the option of backing out. The way it's supposed to be.
So no, it is not legal for anyone to kill anyone else in Canada.
How long before that is challenged? "My Grandmama or Mama told me she never wanted to be in pain...: says someone.... "proof" is provided and the patient didn't initiate....

Assisted Suicide fast becoming Chicago's new motto
If the people of Canada have regressed and become barbarians: Within the year there will be spikes of elderly and then, mentally disabled, emotionally disabled or disturbed, mentally challenged or disturbed, physically disabled or sickly adults AND children murdered. Abortions should increase as well under the mantle of it being doubly legal.
Those who pose even a minimal risk of being a pain to a lifestyle of ease to another person due to a disability or illness (be it physical or mental like Alzheimer's) will be first to go, alongside the cowardly suicidal individuals. Then murderers will use this in various ways. I foresee a spike in people becoming nurses, EMTs, orderlies, pharmacists and even Doctors whose motives are to have a profession that facilitates things. This will create a new other set of problems. Then out of a sudden, considerably healthy people will be murdered and the murderer will state this law... could be that the person was praying too much or talking to an invisible "sky god" out loud (she was "crazy")... or the teen acted out (emotionally disturbed and could have been violent) or a myriad of other reasons...
Again it will depend on where the Canadians are as people... so the question is: Where are the Canadians on a mental and spiritual level? Was this law ALL the Government in order to make it easy for people to make socialist healthcare affordable (assuming the worst out of people which was a mistake) or people wanted this and petitioned the Government to pass this law?
