Capitol Police’s elite tactical team was initially sent to Nancy Pelosi’s house during Scalise baseball shooting and it’s unclear how much time was lost because of the mix-up. Not to take anything away from the two brave officers who were there when the shooting started, but being an armed or unarmed target is especially excruciating when the Keystone Cops don’t show up in time.

Okay, this sounds ridiculous. If you look at the map, it's not that they ended up seven miles away, THEY WENT IN THE TOTALLY OPPOSITE DIRECTION from where they needed to go. I don't know what a "transponder code" is, but surely they are actually talking to each other, too. Right? You know, in addition to the code, they're saying stuff like, "Where the fuck are you going? I can see by your GPS tracking that you're headed in the wrong direction you morons!" Stuff like that.
On a positive note, I bet Pelosi wet her diapers when she saw all those armed men running at her house.
You may recall the incident a few years ago when the Capitol police gunned down a young, unarmed black woman driving erratically near Congress, and members of Congress cheered her death. That was back when black lives didn't particularly matter in DC.
