  • What I was thinking. Seems like a "people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones" situation to me.

    But this brings up something else I've noticed. Or think I've noticed. If you've got the money and/or connections you can take a cocktail of drugs that lets you survive with HIV indefinitely, but it seems to me the people surviving on that cocktail of drugs are not operating on all cylinders mentally. It's not a drastic mental deficit, just enough for me to notice and say to myself, "This dude isn't quite right upstairs." Magic Johnson, Charlie Sheen, Greg Louganis...

    • Yes synthetic medications (and non medications) screw up your brain one day or another especially when you have to play with dosages. However, he was messed up I think before he got sick. He got sick because he was messed up.

      • A distinction without much difference. The drugs keep the AIDS at bay. It's like having influenza, taking a cough suppressant, and saying, "Look, I'm okay because I'm not coughing!" The second you stop taking the cough suppressant you'll be coughing and whether you're coughing or not, you can infect other people.
