Could Silicon Valley be underwater by 2100? Experts warn parts of San Francisco are SINKING faster than the sea is rising. It appears landfill is a lot more of a problem than rising sea-level. But, but, the global warming consensus!
Some areas are sinking at rates of nearly half an inch (10mm) a year while seas are rising at 0.12 inches (3mm) per year and accelerating.
Actually per NOAA the sea-level rise in Redwood City (along the bay south of SF) the relative sea level trend is 1.99 mm/year (0.07834646 inches/year) with a 95% confidence interval of +/- 1.71 mm/year (0.06732283 inches/yr) based on monthly mean sea level data from 1974 to 2016, which is equivalent to a change of 0.65 feet in 100 years.

If we're lucky, San Franfreakshow will sink into the ocean with Piglosi there.
Looks like we're going to need to move SFO and OAK airports. Or put pontoons on our 777's.
They won't move and the point is to stay there so they can get insurance moneys after every storm that is declared a state of emergency. The same kind of people tell tornado alley residents to move out of the danger zones. (Pot meet kettle.) But no one ever knows where exactly a tornado will hit. Everyone knows which way the oceans might rise or coastline will sink, especially if there's an "expert" study or warning. Duh.
But have no fear: They will just as soon take the claim moneys and rebuild, and eventually move further in-shore. Everyone hopes for insurance to save them. Those with none, of course, we get to feel sorry for, etc, etc.
We keep thinking something will stop those who make irrational choices. Nope. That something will take much longer because we also choose to allow it. Simple logic. No magic involved. But money is always involved.
Just saying... don't shoot the messenger.
Who says these people are EXPERTS, they, themselves?
Experts said Hit-Ler-y was going to win the 2016 election by a landslide, experts said obama would be a great pResident. In FACT just about EVERYTHING these "so-called" EXPERTS have told us for at least 50+ years of my life (not counting my first 10 yrs or so) has pretty much been FLAT OUT WRONG!!!
So I ask again EXPERTS ACCORDING TO WHOM?
Who decided that parts of San Franfreakshow should be built on a landfill instead of actual ground? Politicians. Who is responsible if these low lying parts of the city slide off into the ocean? Politicians.
What's the old saying? A wise man builds his house on rock and the foolish man builds his house on sand? Well, a lot of the parts of San Franfreakshow is built on sand. And if it disappears into the ocean nobody is going to give a shit. We will feel sorry for the people who lose their homes or their lives but they should have known better.
There in a nutshell is the difference between Liberals and Conservatives, they build on landfill, we don't. Sort of like the democrat party which appears to have a foundation of poop.
Post of the week!
Same thing with all of the IDIOTS who continue to live in New Orleans!
Yep, anyone who lives below sea level and depends on the gooberment to protect them is dumber than dirt. The same can be said about everyone who lives on the Mississippi, they are stupid, going to get flooded out once in a while, so buy insurance and quit crying about us taxpayers not bailing your stupid ass out when you get flooded out.
This would truly be an awful, terrible, horrible catastrophe - all the social engineers in Silicon Valley vanishing beneath the waves forever - the most awful, horrible, terrible catastrophe ever to befall a bunch of know-it-all busybodies....wait...did I say awful? I meant great. Sorry for the confusion.
You need like 100 thumbs up! :)
I guess needles, feces, and fat feminists weigh a lot more than we thought!
Apparently there is nothing liberals can't screw up.
