I seriously doubt her "Liberal Elite I Can Do What I want Pass" has expired. As you point out, the judge will drop the charges because no doubt he/she is on the "payroll."
Maybe she needed it to protect herself from the NRA hit squads which are roaming NYC, looking for random People of Diversity to assassinate.
