Rep Jerrold Nadler, whose name is followed by D-NY, sounds more like a R-AL in this clip. He is not happy with President Obama’s excellent Libyan adventure. Not happy at all.
Nadler, a usually reliable liberal voice in the House, blasts the President as very few Democrats are willing to do:
“We have been sliding for 70 years to a situation where Congress has nothing to do with the decision about whether to go to war or not, and the president is becoming an absolute monarch,” he said. “And we must put a stop to that right now, if we don’t want to become an empire instead of a republic … I think that the nation’s credibility, that is to say its promise to go to war as backed by the president, not by the Congress, ought to be damaged … We have to put our foot down and say no. And if foreign countries learn that they cannot depend on American military intervention unless Congress is aboard for the ride, good. That’s a good thing.”
Oh, settle down, Jerry. The United States became a monarchy two-and-a-half years ago. You must have been out of town during the coronation. Didn’t you hear about it? It was in all the papers and most of the TV networks. Especially CNN and MSNBC.

I agree with someone that this dude pretty much sees himself surviving and Obama not surviving the next election.
Bush would have NEVER gotten away with this. He got blamed for bringing us into war and everyone forgot that he actually had Congressional permission to do so. He didn't do it alone, no matter how much these people wanted to wash their hands of it later on.
Obama doesn't give a flying finger for the courts nor the government. All he cares about is his rule. He is an abomination and I hope that we as a country learnt our lesson, to judge the man for what he brings to the table and what he has done in his past and whom he has associated with. Not on the pretty words and the urging of an eager biased media.

Via the "tzars" & through the regulatory process, he is just going around Congress. Pelosi was too damn dumb to notice that, but while in between meals, fatboy figured it out. Well done Jerry Nadler, maybe you can start working on the process of reigning in Obama & the "tzars" in his regime. But realize you will join Weiner, & be out of a job.

I disagree. When Obama orders gun confiscation there will be lots of dead confiscators. New confiscators will not obey for fear of death. The military while turning a bit more liberal in the enlisted ranks, the officer corps is still staunchly conservative and would revolt. It has been my experience that liberals/regressivies/communists/socialists are cowards. It only takes a few to stand up and others will be right behind them.

If Captain Zero does order gun seizures, I think there will suddenly be an explosion of police reports that there was a 'home robbery' where guns were 'stolen'.
The rank and file of US military is honest, upstanding, respectable, and largely conservative. They don't like Obama, they didn't like Clinton or Carter. That's why UN troops train here, to get a feel for the place before they are used to confiscate the guns, and run the good people of this country into camps.

Even if the government does use the, largely conservative, based military against its citizens it will hold their military member's families to ensure their soldiers cooperate. Kinda twisted but that happens when freedoms go down the drain.

If what I said were to happen, happen, the only way to stop it is if every single soldier refuses to follow such orders. And I mean every single soldier at every base and camp, would have to refuse to move an inch, even in the face of court martial and inprisonment. But if only a fraction of the ranks refused orders and the rest followed, out of fear, it could be a huge problem. But this is all end of the world type of stuff. Our President cant wield that kind of power without a Congress impeachment....haha I began to laugh as i wrote that last line....
