Donald Trump Fires Back At John Lewis After He Challenged The President-Elect’s Legitimacy In the last several years John Lewis has sought to use race to silence critics,lied about the Tea Party and fought very hard to deny due process and the civil rights protections of many of his fellow citizens. Sadly this once great man has become like the bigots he, a lifetime ago, stood against.

Well he did this to Bush as well and it is my understanding that 35 Democrat senators also skipped the First Republican President ever... so Trump is in good company. Just hope that the Trump Presidency ends in better circumstances of course.
This whole thing smells of set up.
I believe the left planned this whole thing so that they could scream and yell and complain about Trump.
Yeah, unfortunately Trump always takes the bait. Then again, Lewis is the big gun. If Trump comes away from this unscathed (which he will) they've blown a lot of their race baiting wad.
This seems like the perfect opportunity to expose race baiting leftists for what they really are.

John Lewis didn't lie about the Tea Party but he allowed other people to lie in his name. They said John Lewis was called the n word multiple times during that walk across the plaza, which clearly didn't happen, and Lewis never corrected the record:

According to McClatchy Lewis stated:
"They were shouting, sort of harassing," Lewis said. "But, it's okay, I've faced this before. It reminded me of the 60s. It was a lot of downright hate and anger and people being downright mean."
Lewis said he was leaving the Cannon office building across from the Capitol when protesters shouted "Kill the bill, kill the bill," Lewis said.
"I said 'I'm for the bill, I support the bill, I'm voting for the bill'," Lewis said.
From reviewing the video I don't see it as harassing. Maybe he viewed it that way but for him to make out that is has equivalence to what he "faced" during the sixties is a shameful lie and diminishes a very real struggle. So, IMHO, I think he lied and I think he knows he was lying.

John Lewis is just another in a long line of people pissed because Hitlery didn't get to be queen. So it's the white guys fault. If anyone was an illegitimate president, it was the buffoon we had for the last eight years. John how much of that hopey changey bullshit helped out the people in your district? Just how much better off are blacks? How did Obama solve that problem of black on black murders and shootings in Chitcago? Stop acting like a 12 year old that didn't get your way. (If that's possible) and see what happens. You don't get to pick and choose who is president, we the people do, we spoke, your pissed, and you are going to have to deal with it, stomping your feet and shooting off your mouth just makes you look like an asshole.
