Fauci: ‘Looks like’ US deaths will be lower than original projection

Fauci: ‘Looks like’ US deaths will be lower than original projection.  It’s looking like Dr. Napoleon can’t blow this out of proportion anymore.

CO2Insanity: Tired of the CO2 BS and all the other BS in the US and the world.

  • American Thinker has two strongly-worded columns against Fauci today. He did this same thing decades ago with the AIDS crisis, hyping it and scaring the hell out of people about how it was going to infect the whole population, even though it was almost entirely confined to the gay population because of their lifestyle. Then he was given billions of dollars to find a cure and came up with nothing while the Europeans were figuring out how to successfully treat it for peanuts.

Now he's done it again, and he shows no signs of relenting or admitting he was wrong. During the Swine Flu scare in 2009, the CDC got four different vaccines invented and approved in 5 months. They fast-tracked them. Now Fauci's agency is in charge and he's got a vaccine schedule that has approval being finalized in April of 2023! Are you shitting me? 2023? He seriously expects us to live in totalitarian hell for three more years!

This man needs to go, and the draconian restrictions imposed by government need to end. How a man like this, who has been wrong about every single thing in his whole professional career, can be constantly retained and promoted, is the perfect example of what is wrong with government bureaucracy.

    • I read some columns on American Thinker over the last few days that are sharply critical of the lockdown. I checked Libpedia and found out that three billion (with a B) doses of the 2009 swine flu vaccine were produced delivery started in November of 2009. The article also says developing, testing and manufacture of a vaccine is months-long process.

On the other side of that schedule is Dr. Emily Erbelding, an infectious disease expert at NIAID -- which is part of the National Institutes of Health -- said the typical vaccine takes between eight and 10 years to develop. While she is careful not to contradict her boss's timeline -- although she did say "18 months would be about as fast as I think we can go" -- she acknowledged that the accelerated pace will involve "not looking at all the data."

      • Sorry, I'm getting more and more wound up about this. In my county of about 700,000 we have about 200 cases of the virus. That's all. Fewer than 10 deaths and they were all older people with underlying conditions, people who basically died WITH coronavirus not necessarily FROM coronavirus. For that tiny number of cases we have shut down the whole county? It's ridiculous! Maybe restrictions were a good idea in NYC to avoid overwhelming the hospitals but not everywhere else in the country.

Meanwhile in California I read about regular people getting arrested in parks or at the beach while the giant homeless communities are ignoring the whole thing and doing whatever they want. WTF?

          • I know. She is the very worst combination of unscrupulous politician and inexperienced dummy. I'm guessing we will be locked down in our homes until after she has gleaned every speck of notoriety and political advantage she can scrape out of our hides... which probably means until after the November election.

Can someone please send me toilet paper? These old T-shirts I've been using are tough to flush.

        • Being a history nut. The Bolsheviks did the very same thing in 1917. Ordered everyone to stay at their homes. In order to round up the enemies of the state. All that is going on right now, is the trail run to see how far the deep state can push to take over control of all aspects of American life. Come May 1st, the vast majority of this nation MUST be allowed to return to work. All the restrictions MUST be removed.

        • Well written JP! I am sad and angry watching the country being economically emasculated over the China flu. The China Flu death rate is more in line with seasonal flu but the orange man bad panic button has to be pushed to hype the snot out of this pandemic.
