Apparently the FBI is so compartmentalized that the Assistant Associate Director for Crossing 'T's is unaware that there even is another branch which deals with Dotting 'I's and thus can't answer any questions at all.
What I really want to know is 'who is that guy in the mask telling Nadler how to run the meeting?'.
The FBI does this all the time. I mean ALL. THE. TIME. This is their go-to move, losing evidence that they find politically awkward. I would start listing all the times this has happened but it's a futile exercise because I would be typing all night long. I suspect they have a big furnace in the basement specifically designed to burn all kinds of evidence the FBI wants to disappear. The FBI is the most corrupt police organization that ever existed. We make jokes about Russian KGB agents and Mexican cops looking for bribes but nobody on Earth practices corruption on the scale of the FBI.
