FCC kept ‘Obamaphone’ fraud under wraps until after it expanded program. LOL. Mr. Editor figured this out almost to the day 7 years ago. By the time Congress figures anything out it’s always way too late.

Well, since we all have seen this scam for what it is, and there have been thousands of posts on the topic, I'm surprised it took the government so long to figure it out. I mean, it's not like the NSA doesn't have all this in it's archives.
I'm not surprised. Gov't officials, elected, appointed, or hired, are often some of the dumbest people alive. Their only skill set is in creating a system so convoluted that a normal person who works their ass off, pays taxes, & tries to enjoy themselves for a few hours a week do not have the time to really keep an eye on gov't & make sure that they are not getting screwed.
The other issue is that while many work for a living, many vote for a living, & it is those who vote for a living who are served by gov't. Not the person who pays for it.
