Feds bust New York man for alleged plot to detonate massive bomb in D.C. on Election Day. It appears he was talking to someone in Pennsylvania about this and that person (thankfully) ratted this guy out to the FBI. A 200 pound black powder bomb should make an awfully big boom. Our question: Is he a Bernie Bro,, Obama Bro or a Hillary Bro?

Another political nut case....I say, take him out in the woods with his bomb, light the fuse after the bomb is tied to him and run like hell till you hear a big boom...

To many variables to know for sure. I have blown stumps out of the ground with one pound of black powder but I had dug a hole up under stump, set the powder with a detonator, then filled the hole back in with dirt. Containment is where explosives get their power. Containment allows the powder to burn, the gas pressure to build, then boom when the breaking point is reached. I could have laid the same charge next to the stump and all it would have done is tear a little bark off, the gasses would have dissipated into the air because of no containment.

A large one...but black powder is at the low end of the explosive scale...It might help to tie a bunch of democrats to him before the bomb goes off...it would muffle the blast..
The story mentions, in passing, that the bomber wanted to "draw attention to his political beliefs", but then does not explain what those political views are; probably CBS just wants to protect his privacy.
