Florida House passes bill stripping Disney of self governing status. Yet more go woke go broke today. This already passed the Florida Senate, now it’s passed the Florida House, there’s no doubt DeSantis will sign this. We hope the groomers enjoy it.

DeSantis is an animal. I love it.
You have to wonder what some of these CEOs are thinking. Are they just stupid? Are the universities graduating business students who are woke but know nothing about business?
And why are none of these boards of directors putting these CEOs in their place? They should be summarily fired but the boards never do that, they don't even give them a dressing down. The boards are even stupider than the CEOs, if possible.
This is going to result in enormous additional expenses for Disney World. The Disney CEO should be out of a job yesterday, summarily fired and with no part of his golden parachute (all of these guys have golden parachutes) because he acted contrary to the best interests of the corporation he was running.
As a former municipal employee I am trying to imagine how this is going to work. Just the building inspector angle is mind boggling. Suddenly Disney can no longer just build whatever they need, they have to file with the county or township or city, whatever, and have their plans reviewed, and have inspectors come out and approve every stage of the building process. Dozens of additional inspectors will have to be hired by the local governing unit just to handle these inspections at Disney World: building inspectors, electrical inspectors, plumbing inspectors. A whole new government building will be needed just to house the additional inspectors. This will require additional taxes, which of course will be aimed at Disney World since that's the reason they are needed.
And that's just one aspect of the repercussions. We also have to consider the maintenance of roads, the inspection of hospitality buildings, DW restaurants meeting local health code standards, drainage issues...
Hell, Disney World is so huge, covering such a wide area, there will be different government jurisdictions involved, adding another layer of new costs on Disney!
Point is: how could the Disney CEO be so stupid as not to foresee all of this?
You have to give it DeSantis, he was not about to let Disney bully him and in defacto the citizens of FL. Hell, Musk is on a buying spree, might as well buy up Disney too.
The Disney big domes thought DeSantis was like 99.9% of politicians and would cave as soon as they threatened him. Oops...
