Four sheriff’s deputies hid during Florida school shooting. OK what in the serious fuck is going on at the Broward County Sheriff’s Department? The sheriff obviously either lied about this, or omitted this, or he is a total dumbfuck. Either way he should either resign or be fired immediately. I'm shocked and dismayed that Col Ralph Peters went on FOX and did a diatribe about how the AR-15 should be banned. I used to respect his opinion, but he's turning out to be a snowflake.
It is another step toward a complete ban. The AR-15 is a semi-automatic just like all other semi-automatic rifles and handguns. The only difference is it looks like an assault rifle. If they succeed in this ban it opens the gate a little wider for a ban on all semi-automatics.
The “AR” is an abbreviation for “ArmaLite Rifle,” after the company that designed the firearm. It does not mean Assault Rifle.

And now there is this story. Seems a Coral Springs police office was off duty, unarmed, working in the athletic field watering the grass, and ran TOWARD the shooting to see if he could help. First he ran into a grievously wounded student and carried him to safety where he could be treated, then he went back TOWARD the shooting, ran into a Coral Springs SWAT officer who gave him his spare gun, and they proceeded to clear the area they were in. All while the Broward County deputies were cowering behind their cars.

That's been the case the whole time. I'm surprised it took the Supreme Court this long to make it part of their writings. The police have NEVER had a duty to actually protect anyone. Many of them WILL, but it isn't in their job description.

Mall security is in the same category as the Broward Coward Sheriffs department. Now there are parents who are grieving, families with out fathers, now it comes out the tin stars hid and waited. Damnit, when children are in danger, all those that I work with and know drop and go. Come on msm call out the sheriff for his cowards and for attempting to cover it up or shift blame.

Over the years some have called me a hard ass. Unforgiving, many things, but dammit when it comes to our kids you do what needs to be done to keep them safe! When you take up the badge and gun you do what needs to be done even if it means your life!
I am a veteran, but never been a law man. And I really can't see there is much difference between the two. We take up a gun and pledge to protect the innocent. Yes, I am a hard ass about some things. I am unforgiving at times. I will admit that with pride. But I never left a brother laying in the field, they came home. I never let a child suffer if I could help it and the tears still flow today when I think about what I could not do years ago. I never beat on a woman even though I was married to 5 of them and a couple may have deserved a good ass kicking. MEN, real men, do not harm others. Especially women and children. We serve our country, even when it make no sense because of political bullshit we do it anyway. We serve our communities. Cops, fire fighters, people who risk getting killed doing what they pledged to do, protect the public. But responsibility comes with that oath and those who worry about their own asses instead of saving children are some sorry pieces of shit in my book.
