The government is so corrupt it is easy to side with the protesters. Maybe one of the OR senators wants the ranch for themselves. Of course, the judge and prosecutors will have visiting rights.

Long read, but I'm glad I read it. I had NO idea about all the bullshit that these poor people have been through courtesy of the BLM (Bureau of Land Management, not loud-mouthed assholes that disrupt somebody's meal). To listen to the way the MSM portrays it, they were poachers that tried covering up their tracks with arson. Nothing could be further from the truth.
It's WAY past time to dismantle this corrupt bunch of THUGS and sell off the 264 MILLION acres that they've gotten by the same tactics that the land barons used in the 1800's.

I wonder if they threatened to take away his pension if he didn't cooperate? I found it a little odd that he retired right before they got sentenced to another 4 YEARS. And if THAT hadn't worked, they woulda just been run through the courts on a bunch of other trumped up charges, until they were bankrupt. What they need is some high profile lawyer that's willing to take the case pro bono for the publicity.
BTW...take a look at how CNN covers the story. The second sentence in the story tells you how fair and balanced the reporting was..."And it just got weirder from there."
