  • Not much more to add other than XM/Sirius probably did the right thing. We can parse Thor's words all day, but Beck, in my view, is descending into madness. Maybe it has to do with his going blind and the other health problems he's had. Who knows? XM likely has wanted to end the relationship, and this was a good way to start the process.

    • I don't doubt it Beck has been going off his rocker for some time. Which is a shame because he had been pretty good for a long time and though he was no libertarian he probably did more for bringing conservatives to a more libertarian view than anyone else in the popular media. Personally I hope he can come back from the brink.

      That being said there may be other things at work here. Brietbart just about owns that Sirius channel now. Mike Church has already been given the boot (although that is understandable as his entire show became a Catholic apologetic -not that there is anything wrong with that it is just the wrong venue) so who knows maybe Wilkow will be next. And that would really suck, because I very much like his show.

      • If they ditch Wilkow, they'll lose a lot of subscribers. As it is, I can barely stand to listen to Breitbart news, and I really miss Mike Church, I still have my Dude Number Shirt (#2341) from his show.

  • Between the Cheeto's, and his bizarre behavior, I think Glenn has become that crazy uncle we all have and needs to be institutionalized ... the sooner the better. I had a fella at work that bought everything Beck Sold and was a true believer...Wonder how he looks with yellow cheeto droppings all over his face.....P.T. Barnum could not have gotten a better act.

    • I have to admit that you are right about the fact that Glenn just sounds and looks like he has a lot of issues and is unreliable with the truth. He is in Alex Jones' territory.

    • What is meant when they suggest that legal means are inadequate? That or a coup/revolution.

      • I was thinking down the line of a coup/revolution getting him FORCEFULLY out of office since the legal means won't work, but the times that US people would do that seem to be over... after all Obama WASN'T forcefully moved out and he DID act like a dictator (and does still until the end of his Presidency).

    • .....congress would not be able to remove Trump from office by “legal means” through impeachment, so Thor asked “what patriot will step up and do that” if Trump oversteps his Constitutional restraints. Beck agreed with Thor’s assessment.....

      What patriot will step up and illegally remove him is without a doubt a threat to assassinate. Beck agreed.

      His only defense was when Thor said ... "if Trump oversteps his constitutional restraints"..... was to claim it was theoretical. But since Beck agreed with both the accusation and the "hit" he was left flailing around. He really has lost it.

      I have said since the begining of Becks backing Cruz it would be the end for Cruz.

      • Honestly and seriously, I really doubt Beck is that important or influential these days.

        • We can agree that he isn't. He stopped being important and influential when he was kicked off Fox.

          • It wasn't leaving FNC, it was when he went from a guy doing political commentary, but having fun at the same time, to a guy who became a political activist who blurred the lines between faith & politics. He was also not having fun as he progressed down this road. Personally, it was when he started asking candidates "...how's your soul", that this started. He has spiraled out of control & is not listenable anymore. It's sad, because he is not an idiot, but he is pissing it all away over Trump & got way too involved with Ted Cruz. I loved listening over the past decade or so, & now he's committing career suicide.

          • The funny thing is, all those "conspiracy theories" that he told us about when he was on FOX, have come true.

      • I have to say it does come out a little vague but I do agree with JP that Beck should have paid attention.

  • This is a really weird story because when I go to Breitbart and read the transcript of the interview in question, I don't see where Beck or his interviewee ever make such a suggestion. The Breitbart headline says they do, but I can't find it in the transcript of the actual interview. Trouble is, my browser will not behave at Breitbart--they have so much shit loading and unloading and so many ads flying at you, my computer freezes up before I can finish reading anything. So is it in there somewhere and I just don't see it?

      • Okay, found it. It was the guest who said it, not Glenn, and whether "removing Trump from office if Congress won't do it" means assassination or not, Beck should have corrected him and made it clear. Thing is, the guest was so unclear overall about what he was trying to say, one of Beck's assistants actually asked him if he was endorsing Trump at one point!

        I've been on the radio. I know you can't control the stupid-ass shit that comes out of guests' mouths, but Beck should have jumped on this and made it clear that assassination is not a reasonable option.

          Come on, as I note above, what would it mean besides that or a coup of some sort? Too bad they're not as concerned about Jugears. Oh yeah, it's been almost 8 years now, and I guess they don't really want to put their money where there mouths are.

          (This could be taken as not being able to get Trump out of office is bad and not necessarily advocating anything else).

          With the feckless, spineless Congress we have, who will stand in the way of Donald Trump overstepping his constitutional authority as President? If Congress won’t remove him from office, what patriot will step up and do that if, if, he oversteps his mandate as president, his constitutional-granted authority, I should say, as president.

          (Again he could be talking about someone in Congress or some civilian getting a movement going to remove him from office via impeachment).

          If he oversteps that, how do we get him out of office? And I don’t think there is a legal means available. I think it will be a terrible, terrible position the American people will be in to get Trump out of office because you won’t be able to do it through Congress.

          (Again no one's advocating murder).

          • Again: what exactly do you think is being suggested when they are stipulating that legal means --Congress and impeachment-- aren't enough?

          • Who knows. Maybe mass statewide nullification. Maybe a hacker will find something so damaging in one of his hard drives that The Donald is forced to resign.

          • Dude, seriously, Donald Trump is the exact opposite of a Tea Party candidate, so that paragraph is not appropriate. Donald Trump is the guy who spent his whole campaign insulting the Tea Party candidates.

          • Yeah, kind of vague, and the guest may not have meant assassination at all, but Beck should have stepped in. Weird thing is, Breitbart says Beck issued a lengthy statement but doesn't link to it, and I can't find it at Google.
