Remember that video yesterday of the glory hole spillway at Lake Berryessa? Well, wouldn't you know....
Emily Schwalek, 41, of Davis was killed Sunday when she was sucked down a spillway at the Monticello Dam at Lake Berryessa.
The spillway, which drops straight down more than 200 feet, is known as the Glory Hole. It routes excess water from the lake down an 8-foot-wide pipe.
Authorities said witnesses reported seeing Schwalek swimming toward the spillway at about 6:30 p.m. Sunday.
Yeah! Let's swim out to a nightmarish swirling hole in the lake/space/time continuum. That's the ticket!
The woman dropped out of sight after gripping the edge of the hole for about 20 minutes, witnesses said. There has never been a documented case of anyone else falling through the Glory Hole, said Don Burbey of the Solano Irrigation District.
Gripping the edge for 20 minutes? Nobody tried to save her? I guess it's just another example of cleansing the gene pool of those with less than optimum judgement.

In 2005 a bunch of groups asked the FERC to make the emergency spillway concrete not just dirt. The FERC said not needed. Look at the pictures of the "dirt" being washed away by the emergency spillway. I don't know how stupid kalifipornia can get. A dirt spillway? Really???? And the Sate Department of Water resources said the main spillway just had a couple small cracks last year and they got fixed. Who repaired them, Abbott and Costello?
I think the state is so stupid they wanted this shit to happen so they could say, "See dams are bad"...

Yes, there are a handful of states that are controlled by Dems because of a major city. CA is 1, NY, IL, & WA are others. SO my question is does California have 55 electoral votes or does LA have 30 & the Bay area have 25? These are city-states, sort of in the vein of Sparta or Troy.
That's right. If you look at aerial photos of the area, with mountains on the east, and pretty good sized hills on the west side, most of what you see is prime agricultural land. Sure, lots of illegal alien Democrat voters, but mostly working people smart enough to vote some other way.

California is run by idiots. They've known about their infrastructure problems for decades. The entire "drought" was about lack of adequate infrastructure, not lack of water. Instead of addressing the infrastructure problems, they spent their money on illegals, environmental extremism, LGBT bullshit, and bullet trains to nowhere. The fact that Sacramento is threatened seems like poetic justice.

The estimated 64 billion dollar cost of the California High-Speed Rail Project would certainly pave a lot of spillways.
