Gun Owners Aren’t Surprised by Joe Biden’s Latest Stolen Valor Fabulism Claims

Gun Owners Aren’t Surprised by Joe Biden’s Latest Stolen Valor Fabulism Claims. Biden’s latest faux pas involves him talking about something that never happened, except in his mind, or what’s left of it.

“So, I got him the Purple Heart. He had won it in the Battle of the Bulge. And I remember he came over to the house and I came out and my father said; ‘Present it to him, okay?’ We had the family there,” Biden said at the veterans’ townhall, according to media accounts.

There are, of course, massive factual errors in Biden’s latest tall tale. Biden’s uncle died in 1999. His father died in 2002, but Biden wasn’t elected vice president until 2008, so there is no way he could have presented his uncle the medal while serving as vice president.

  • As Brig. Gen. Anthony McAuliffe said when the Germans formally asked him to surrender during that Battle of the Bulge, I say to Biden, "Nuts!"

    • The full conversation is awesome.

McAuliffe's formal written response: “To the German Commander, N U T S ! The American Commander.”

When a junior officer delivered it to the two German officers who had walked in under a flag of truce, one of them who spoke English asked, "Is that reply negative or affirmative?" They had no idea how to interpret it. “The reply is decidedly not affirmative,” said the American officer. “If you continue this foolish attack your losses will be tremendous.”

Later, after walking the two Germans back to where they arrived, the Germans asked again, "What does this mean?" The American officer told a German-speaking private to interpret it for them: “Tell them to take a flying shit!” The private rephrased it a little and told them, in German, to go to hell, and then the American officer added, “And I will tell you something else, if you continue to attack we will kill every goddam German that tries to break into this city.”

“We will kill many Americans,” the German replied. “This is war.”

“On your way bud and good luck to you,” said the American.

Wouldn't it be cool if our ambassadors around the world were all soldiers who had seen combat?
