    Can someone do that? Shoot at a person who is being searched for by the cops? Can one get away with that? I am asking for a friend...

    • I sure wish I had John Lithgow's talent. He wrote some brilliant children's books-has won awards for Stage, film, and tv. He's beyond brilliant.
      As for shooting someone being searched- if you mean searched for-if a fugitive happens across your path and is armed, or anyone is armed and pose a threat, yes, by all means, one can defend one's self to the full extent of their capability.

        Okay it may seem vigilante behavior i thought to just shoot someone that the police are looking for, but in case of self defense issues it makes sense.
