Garland is a slimy little rat. He is vying with Eric Holder for title of most amoral AG in U.S. history.
But as for Alec Baldwin, I'm not so sure he's off the hook. They have two new special prosecutors recently appointed and they simply weren't ready for a May 3 trial start, that's all. I think they're dropping the charges now with the idea that they will re-submit them later when they're more ready. They as much as said so in their press release.
Be glad that slimy little rat isn't on SCOTUS. Be very glad.
