• We couldn't see what the officer was doing during the shooting, but it seemed almost like the illegal alien had more training than the cop.

• How about the first numbnut going the other way who stops? Who stops in the middle of a gun fight? Backing away is fine but why did you stop in the first place? As soon as you realize it's a gun fight, duck, floor it, and get through the area as fast as you can, don't stop and gawk.

  • Flattening out the shooter against the front of the police car would have been good.

• That deputy needs to grow a pair and spend more time on the shooting range. The illegal fired BEFORE he got out of his car, when he opened the door and stepped out, with his weapon out of position, it should have been a turkey shoot. Bam, bam, bam, suspect down. Send a meat wagon for the little asshole in a hour or so.

  • Yes the deputy sure should. You have to practice to prevent the adrenaline dump. All moves actions and reactions must be from muscle memory and second nature. Many of the rural departments do not have funding for the training that will help in all situations.

    • Yep. I didn't understand all the training when I first enlisted, then I was sent to Cambodia. The mind shuts down, the muscle memory takes over and you act. Looking at how things are today with so many law men getting shot at I would think the powers that be would figure out how to get these men and women more training. Not only could they save their own ass but the lives of innocents in the area.
