• I guess they felt they couldn't loose. If it failed they will be saved like the banks, if it worked they would be in the money. It was about greed and nothing about patient care. I have no pity for the greedy bastards.

  • And, in the end, the result will be the same, this turd gets polished on the backs of the taxpayer, whose ranks are getting smaller and smaller. How long before we're just like Greece?
    I really believe that the best option to save the states is to break us up into individual countries. That way, the leftists can all move to whatever state/country best fits their beliefs, and they can all fail and go under, but in the meantime, the rest of us can create laws that will prevent the idiots from moving in with us.

    • Well Europe has been that and look at it. Some countries maybe better than others overall, but with the political correctness and so on all of Europe is a disaster and they haven't managed to keep idiots from moving or the vermin from immigrating. So that maybe intriguing but not sure if that is the solution.

• The insurance companies were jumping up and down on Obama's leg like a horny dog when he rolled this piece of shit out, Now they wanna sue? When the hell did the government ever run a program that was good? I give you a hint, it is a five letter word that starts with N and ends with R and has two "E";s and a "V" in it....

    Once upon a time, the government ran a pretty good military.
    Of course, that is now shot to hell also.

    • IMO the U.S. military has been good or bad depending upon how much the government mindset was in control. You throw a bunch of citizen soldiers into the pot, including into the officer ranks, for a big effort like World War II and you get stupendous results. But downsize after a big war until all you have left is career military under Washington military bureaucrats and you get stuff like Custer's Last Stand.

      The best contrast in history, showing what I mean, is when you compare the results of the Revolutionary War to the results of the War of 1812. Same opponents just a couple decades apart, but totally different result.

  • What you said. They lobbied pretty hard for Obamacare, made all kinds of special deals... I weep not for their losses.
